- General Questions

 - What is
the #1 item to look for in a landscape maintenance company? We recommend that you inquire with the potential
contractor to confirm they are insured with general liability, worker compensation insurance and commercial auto insurance.
Accidents can happen at any time and this will ensure that you, as the homeowner, can have a peace of mind while your property
         is being serviced.
 - What about licenses? If you chose to have the
potential contractor to perform other services other than just mowing, then you should inquire about their certification
in other areas. If you wish to have pruning and fertilization services, the contractor should be certified and licensed as
a Landscape Horticulturalist. If you wish to have bedding plants installed or an ornamental bed installed, the contractor
should also be certified and licensed as a Landscape Horticulturalist. If you wish to have any sprinkler repairs or installation,
the contractor should be certified and licensed as a Landscape Irrigation Contractor. If you wish to have
any tree work performed, the contractor should be a licensed Arborist. If you wish to have weed/pest control performed
on your turf or shrubs, the contractor should be a licensed and certified category 3 pesticide applicator.
